Physics week 4

E=mc2 has effected my life and my career of the past decade or so.  Working with motorcycles, the engines as well as the braking systems to the electrical and right down to the tires, e=mc2 is everywhere.  The internal combustion chamber engine is the easiest form of energy to be seen and felt.  The electro-magnet stator and charging system that creates the electrical energy to send the tens of thousands of volts to the spark plug to help the fuel combust.  The energy a[applied to braking system that slows the bike down, and the give, squish and flex of the soft tire compound gripping the concrete as the bike goes through acceleration or deceleration.  All of it exhilarating, fun to work with and even better to be able to find and fix a problem with a particular machine.

The four forces:

It is to my understand that gravity, the base power of 10, is to be the baseline for measuring the energy of the strong, weak , and electroforce.  So, how would I compare them?  I guess I  could try to understand the additional power of the forces as we move up the scale to 10 to the 15th, 38th and then 40th.  So comparison?  that is about as far as I understand to be able to compare.

The function of gravity is to hold the universe together.   To create things as large as other galaxies, or just to create a new mountain and expand land mass in Hawaii.  It allows us our freedoms, like letting us climb and walk all over this planet, but also keeps our restrictions like not being able to fly all around this wonderful planet(without one of the fancy flying gizmos...  planes and such).  Like it or not, its everywhere and it is a dictator.

  1. I think your comparison with E=MC2 and motorcycles are a great duo to put together! The details truly encapsulate your knowledge in how such a machine can provide energy.

  2. Wow, these element impact your whole world! How does it feel to be the center of all of the universe?

  3. I resonate with both your comparison of the four forces and your outlook on the function of gravity. I felt very naive when blogging and putting my views into type, it's nice to read another classmates blog that has a similar approach to understanding Physics in our day to day.
